Isabelle a été bercée par les histoires de son père toute son enfance. Grand conteur, il lui a légué tout un imaginaire qui s’est transformé en métier. Accompagné par le grand amour des livres, offert par sa mère, c’était la combinaison parfaite pour devenir illustratrice et autrice en édition jeunesse. Après des études en graphisme à l’UQAM, elle démarre sa carrière sur les chapeaux de roues, enchaînant les projets où elle combine tous ses talents.

Grâce à son esprit fonceur, elle s’est taillé une place sur le marché québécois avec plus de 100 livres illustrés, naviguant entre les grandes productions comme le planificateur familial et des projets plus intimes comme son dernier livre sur le P’tit train du Nord, né d’une campagne de financement participatif.

L’univers d’Isabelle est très coloré et joyeux, à l’image de son enfance. Elle adore illustrer la faune et la flore pour créer des illustrations vivantes, pleine de détails accrocheurs qui invitent l’observateur à plonger dans l’histoire. Douces et lumineuses, ses créations sont toujours emplies du merveilleux qui sait toucher les cœurs d’enfants.

Isabelle’s childhood was filled with her father’s stories. He was a great storyteller that passed on his amazing imagination to his daughter out of which Isabelle has made an entire career. With Isabelle’s mother’s love for books, this was the perfect combination to lead her toward a children’s book illustrator and author profession.

After completing a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the UQAM, Isabelle began a career at full speed, combining all of her talents through many kinds of projects. Thanks to her driven mind, Isabelle has taken her place in the market with over 100 illustrated books over the time. She has also done more personal work, like the famous children’s book «The little Train of the North», published by les Éditions du Grand Élan. And bigger projects like the well-knowed Pomango’s Family Planner.

Isabelle’s art world is filled with joy and colors as her childhood used to be. She enjoys drawing nature and animals to create vivid images with plenty of eye-catching details, as an invitation to dive into the story. Luminous and fresh, her creations are always a wonderful way to stay in touch with the heart of our inner child.
